This policy covers beknownhq.com and the beknown service. beknown is a business service: we collect the minimum we need to run your scans, deliver your reports, and keep the service safe.
2. What we collect
- Details you give us: name, work email, optional phone, business name, website, city, and competitor names.
- What the service creates: your scan reports, subscription status, email verification and opt-out records.
- Abuse-prevention data: request information used for rate limits. IP addresses are stored only in hashed form, never as plain addresses.
3. How we use it
- Run your scans and generate your reports.
- Send verification links, reports, and service updates by email.
- Prevent abuse: rate limits, duplicate checks, and bot protection.
- Answer your messages and improve the service.
4. Who processes data for us
- Vercel: hosts the website and service.
- Supabase: stores our database.
- Resend: delivers our emails.
- DataForSEO: runs the search and AI queries behind scans. It receives your business name, website, city, and buyer questions. It never receives your contact details.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: protects our forms from bots.
- Our payment partner (the merchant of record): processes subscription payments. We never see or store your card number.
5. What we do not do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not run advertising trackers or third-party ad cookies.
- We do not send marketing email after you opt out. Every such email carries an opt-out link, and opt-outs are enforced.
6. Cookies and local storage
We use essential cookies for sign-in sessions, and local storage for display preferences such as light or dark mode. Nothing here tracks you across other websites.
7. How long we keep data
We keep data while your report, subscription, or conversation is active, and as long as the law requires for records such as payments. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
8. Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Use the contact form or reply to any beknown email and we will handle it.
9. Children
beknown is a service for businesses. It is not directed at children under 16.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes appear on this page with a new date, and subscribers are told by email.
